Double Reed Day 2004
Our guest artist this year was the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra's Principal Bassoonist--Patricia Rogers. She was joined by the Boston Symphony Orchestra's John Ferrillo, Principal Oboe; Richard Ranti, Associate Principal Bassoon; and Robert Sheena, solo Enlglish Horn. Laura Ahlbeck, Pricipal Oboe of the Boston Pops/Esplanade Orchesta perfomed with them and led master classes. Attendees had an opportunity to try the lastest models of Fox oboes and bassoons and to ask questions of Jim Kirker, Boston's premier bassoon technician.
